Programs in Port - Community Service

Students with the common interests of learning, serving and leading have the opportunity to give back to the communities they visit throughout their voyage by participating in service projects developed in cooperation with local organizations. This initiative is a collaboration between these organizations and The Scholar Ship Research Institute to further create awareness about the importance of Human Development, Environmental Sustainability, International Relations and Intercultural Communications. There is no charge to participate in these service projects, which are optional and voluntary.
