About Our Students

We are proud of most every aspect of our program. However, we are most proud of our students, and their collective diversity. When we set out to develop The Scholar Ship program, we knew that our success would depend on our ability to attract a culturally diverse student body. Having already attracted students from over 35 countries to our program, we have created an environment on each voyage in which students are living and learning in ways they say they never could have imagined.

See for yourself what they have to say in our collection of short-format videos.

For the January 2008 voyage, approximately seventy percent of our students are participating in the undergraduate program; 30 percent are postgraduate students. Also, the gender ratio of female to male is a little more than two to one.

Regardless of the cultural diversity, academic level or gender, the most important attribute to consider is the overlapping theme we hear from students when asked why they chose The Scholar Ship: “…I could not find another program that provided me the opportunity to immerse myself in a multicultural environment while traveling the globe, living and learning among a new group of friends from around the world…”
